Poetry at Pipitea | 7 July

Where: Vic Books Pipitea, 27 Lambton Quay

When: Thursday 7th July, 2022

Time: Doors 5:30pm; start 6pm and finish 7pm

Our friends from THWUP have put together three of their most exciting authors for an wonderful evening of poetry and snacks at Vic Books Pipitea, before those doors close for good. We've got the wine and beer, all you have to do is join in on the fun.

Readings from:

James Brown, author of The Tip Shop - found poems jostle with autobiographical poems, essayistic with epigrammatic, formally expert with some of his very best freeform sprawls.

Joanna Cho, author of the forthcoming debut collection People Person

Oscar Upperton, author of The Surgeon's Brain, a breathtaking, multilayered work that meditates on the life of Dr James Barry pistol-toting dueller, an irascible grudge-holder and transgender man living in the Victorian era.

An evening not to be missed. All welcome!
