2nd hand textbooks

Selling your used VUW textbooks? Check out our buyback list each trimester and bring your books into us before the start of each trimester and for the first week of classes. Books can be sold back at either the Kelburn or Pipitea stores. Be sure to check the ISBN of your textbook against our list. We only buyback current prescribed VUW texts. Books are bought back on a book-by-book basis and the condition of a particular book is important. Books bought 2nd hand will be considered for buyback if they are in good condition.

If you would like a refund on your eftpos or credit card we will pay you 50% of the RRP, or we will pay you 55% as a vicbooks credit voucher which has a lifespan of 12 months. This means you can put it towards purchases that day or get a head start and put it towards next trimester’s texts.

Want to buy second hand VUW textbooks? We usually sell 2nd hand texts at 20% less than our new texts so they are a great way to make your textbook dollar go further. They sell like hot cakes though so be in fast. Look for the yellow and black used sticker on the spine. You’ll find them shelved by subject with the new ones.

Because demand for second hand texts is so great it’s hard for us to keep them in stock. For this reason they are not available to order online. You will need to come into your campus bookshop.
